The Redmi Turbo 5 is a battery monster that costs less than you'd think
A 7,560 mAh cell, 100W charging and a Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip aimed at people who hate charging their phone.
The Redmi Turbo 5 reached India on June 16, and it is built around one idea: never run out of battery. The 7,560 mAh cell is enormous, comfortably bigger than the roughly 4,000 to 5,000 mAh you get in most flagships, and it pairs with 100W wired charging so topping it up is quick when you do plug in.
The rest of the sheet is sensibly mid-range. A MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra handles day-to-day work without flagship pricing, and the cameras come in at 50MP main, 20MP ultra-wide and a 20MP selfie sensor. None of that will trouble a Galaxy S or an iPhone Pro on photo quality, but that is not who this phone is for.
Who it's for
Heavy users, travellers, festival-goers, and anyone who has ever watched their phone die at 4pm. International pricing and availability beyond India are still being confirmed, so check your region before getting attached. If two-day battery life matters more to you than a marquee camera, this is the phone to watch.
