Giant's 2026 e-bikes now come with built-in radar

21 July 2026 · 3 min read · By Nath Connell

Giant has launched its 2026 Explore E+ e-bike range, four models running from the entry-level Explore E+ 0 up to the Explore E+ 4, and the detail worth noting isn't the motor, it's what now comes fitted as standard.

Even the base Explore E+ 0 ships with Aegis rear radar, which warns you of approaching traffic from behind, and a built-in tyre pressure checker, both features that used to be paid extras bolted on after purchase, if they were available at all on entry-level bikes. Seeing safety tech like this trickle down to the cheapest model in a range, rather than staying locked to the flagship, is the more interesting story than the range itself.

Should you care?

Giant hasn't published UK or US pricing for the 2026 Explore E+ range yet, so treat this as one to watch rather than one to buy today. Worth keeping an eye on if road safety features are a bigger factor for you than outright range or motor power.
