OpenAI has closed its largest funding round yet, a reported $122 billion at an $852 billion valuation. Amazon is said to have contributed around $50 billion, with Nvidia and SoftBank near $30 billion each. Numbers this size stop looking like venture capital and start looking like nation-state money aimed at compute.
