TSMC July sales jump 45% as AI chip demand keeps climbing

The chip boom is not slowing down.

TSMC, the world s largest contract chipmaker, reported July 2026 revenue up 45% year-on-year. The surge is driven almost entirely by demand for advanced process nodes used in AI accelerators, with NVIDIA, AMD, and Apple among the largest customers.

The numbers confirm what the industry has been signalling: AI infrastructure buildout is still accelerating. Data centre operators are ordering GPUs and custom silicon faster than fabs can produce them, and TSMC is the bottleneck everyone depends on.

TSMC s advanced 3nm and upcoming 2nm nodes are booked solid through 2027. The company is expanding capacity in Arizona and Japan, but new fabs take years to reach full production. In the meantime, anyone building AI at scale waits in line.
